With the news that Mass Effect 3 is set to have multi-player capabilities, gamers instantly began to metaphorically foam at the proverbial mouth. It seems BioWare and Microsoft want to add to the excitement and incorporate as many fans as possible by giving anyone who downloads the game's demo a bonus. What is this incentive I hear you ask? Well it is a free, temporary Xbox Live gold membership allowing gamers to experience the multi-player action. Oh em fucking gee! The key word here is 'temporary' as the duration period of gold membership is unspecified, but I am sure this will not deter users in making full use before it expires.

 

Microsoft's official statement read: "In celebration of ME3, Xbox is pleased to provide fans access to ME3 demo multi-player for the time leading to launch," said MS. "Xbox LIVE gold gives you exclusive benefits including multi-player gaming, member-only deals and previews, and access to entertainment with Netflix, ESPN, Hulu Plus and more."


The demo is available for download 14 Febraury 2012. BioWare is spreading the love and I suspect a few couples may have some arguments on how to spend their Valentine's day together now after hearing this news.
