Obviously, whichever way you cut it, this is one of the 1.8% of the time during which I am, as much as I loathe to say it, wrong.
Yes. I admit, I was wrong. I got something wrong and was so sure of what I was sure that I was sure about that I really couldn't see being wrong. But I am. I see that now and I'd like to take the opportunity to apologise for being wrong. Because it's not really allowed to happen. And so I must apologise for letting other people influence my decision on predicting that the finals of Gamespot's ultimate hero thingummy was going to be Link versus Mario. I mean, I got the Mario bit right, but it was all Xander's fault that I got Link instead of Gordon Freeman. Dammit.
For your information, the UFO Gamers prediction poll went like this:
Mario: 26.67% of votes.
Link: 73.33% of votes. (i.e., the rest)
But as you can tell, Link isn't Gordon Freeman, but still, Gordon's better than Link so though I was wrong, I'm happy.
