Listen to this: Shigeru Miyamoto was recently at a New York City roundtable, where he was asked how he feels about HD gaming. His answer? "I don't think there's anything wrong with pretty graphics, and if I'm a consumer that has an HDTV, I'd want to be able to play my games with nice grapics too. And I think as we've seen the penetration rates for HDTV increase, we're going to see video games and Nintendo's games move along in step with the progression of technology."
To put it in layman's terms: Wii HD? More than possible.
I'll be honest with you here. This isn't telling us that Nintendo is working on an HD console for this or the next generation of video games. What this statement might be doing is announcing some kind of new Nintendo gizmo-box peripheral-thing that will fix problems that occur when Wii games are played on HDTVs. Am I right?
Sadly for some, I surely am.
