Sonic Generations 'Dreamcast era' trailer

Last month I wrote a rather lengthy article regarding the latest news about Sonic Generations, which you can read here if you haven't already. One aspect of it was the new trailer Sega released, which showcased some of the re-imagined zones from the 'Genesis/Mega Drive' era of Sonic's history.

This month the company have delivered another gameplay trailer, this time showing re-created levels from the 'Dreamcast' era. The trailer ends with the appearance of Shadow the Hedgehog, the black and red spiky alternative hedgehog, thus confirming him as a character. Whether or not he will be playable is yet to be determined, although as the previous article did state he will more than likely be an NPC as he only features in the 'modern' Sonic games as opposed to both 'classic' and 'modern'.

No doubt sometime in September Sega will release a final trailer displaying zones from the now-gen era and I can't wait for that (he types sarcastically).
