Gang Star

This game is from our Mythical games section and, as a result does NOT exist! Don't go trying to buy it, now!

Fed up with playing the same old gangster games?  Bored of other long-running series that have done little with the game but brushed up the graphics a bit?  Dying to get into that gangsta-rapper lifestyle but aren't sure whether you have what it takes?  Then Gang Star is the game for you.  Gang Star uses the USB microphones of Sing Star on the PlayStation 3 or of Lips on the Xbox 360 in order to enhance play.

Gang Star works on two separate levels and players are forced to manage them quite separately.  The public persona is where they can perform, choose how they behave during media events and so on, while the private life determines what goes on away from that public persona.  While the private life is the darker side of things and can be avoided, only by dabbling in areas such as narcotic use and sale, prostitution and gang wars, can better achievements be unlocked in the public persona mode.

Players are given the chance to rap badly (they gain extra points for every time they use the word 'reminisce' or the phrase 'back in the day'Wink to build up their public persona.  Rival gansta-rappers are doing the same and so every at the end of every level, you are given the opportunity to loudly 'diss' your nemesis, while 'bigging up' your 'homies'.

The USB microphones (Gang Star mics are sold separately with extra garish 'bling'Wink are also used to judge the levels of women's screams in other phases of the game, either due to misogynistic beatings or to long, drug-fuelled ecstatic sex sessions which, at the end of the levels, are both vehemently denied in the public persona mode.

Campaigns can last indefinitely if players are able to strike the delicate balance between the underworld and the public life, however, players should keep an eye on their family endangerment level, since when it reaches its maximum, the character will undertake three wreckless acts and probably end up dead as a result.

The game ends with your character's funeral and this is your final scoring.  The more influential and famous faces at your graveside, the greater your score!  It's as simple as that!
