Hell, just thinking about the good ol' days makes me want to install the game one again go hunting Catman.
Then again, I've only played a handful of the games mentioned (and that's out of the whole 100+ mentioned).
Anyway, that lasted alot longer than I though it would, and now I'm too tired to think. Good night random people who may end up reading this...
There's a lot of quality games missing from this list (Fallout and Civilisation, for example). It's a list compiled of the games that we've played, loved and love to play over and over again. I admit I'm biting my own tongue here as we've enjoyed Jedi Academy together for years, but it's not something I can come back to now when the community is gone. The online communities that people built around its multiplayer were what made the game stand out - they held the whole thing together and kept it going for as long as they could.
Just because it didn't make the #1 spot doesn't mean it's a bad game, much like Fallout not making the whole list doesn't make it utter dog turd.
While JA is undoubtedly an amazing game, as Saber says, it can't really compete for a place in the top ten against the others that appear in our list; the only reason it would would be because of our specific love for the game, and it's a niche we fit into together and it's why we're all still here. And so it deserves the most honourable of honourable mentions!
And yeah, those lightsabres were beautiful, probably my favorite of the bunch. Along with Brooky's, and the many that Shade managed to break. Good times...
Anyway, I'd also like to point out that, while Oblivion was (and still is) a great game, I tend to prefer Morrowind. Too many things were cut from Oblivion (Enchanting, teleporting, levitating, and those are just the magic stuff), Morrowind just seems to have more to it. Oblivion should be replaced with Morrowind on the list, in my opinion.
